Welcome to the Pace University Teaching and Research in Autism (TARA) Wiki for Spring 2009!

The TARA Advanced Certificate in Autism and Severe Disabilities is a post-graduate certificate program offered through Pace University's School of Education. Through both coursework and collaborative action research, TARA scholars explore a variety of interventions and practices concerning issues related to autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other related disabilities.

As a requirement for course ED775 Teaching Students with Severe Disabilities, taught by Jamie Kijowski, each TARA scholar will contribute to the building of this wiki by creating personal pages hosting completed assignments, action research measurement techniques, and lists of resources. It is our hope that this wiki will serve the public as a resource for information regarding the education of children with ASD, as well as the creation and implementation of measurement techniques for educational research and classroom data collection.

This wiki will serve as a virtual home base, where scholars can retrieve the syllabus and online readings and recent announcements for ED775. It will also help us get know one another, so we can effectively create a community of learners dedicated to collaborative efforts in the field of education.
